This film exemplified my ideas stretching farther then my skills. Many of the scenes visualizing the main character's struggle needed to get removed due to my skill set at the time. Even though I liked the final product it was definitely lacking compared to what I always imagined this story to be. I wanted to include way more fantasy elements but due to the five minute time limit there was a lot left to be desired. This experience definitely taught me to create stories within my capabilities of what I'm able to create. With that being said, Starfish helped me make leaps and bounds in my lighting abilities as well as sound design. There's a lot of subtle sound effects littered throughout the film that help create a believable environment that the character is placed within.
