This film marked a huge turning point for my storytelling. It was the first film that I created solely on my own and I had no idea how the final product turned out. This project was created during a time when I had very little experience with video production, so for most of the special effects featured in the film I learned as I filmed and edited. As you can tell from watching it, I was the only actor as I played both characters. This choice was intentional as there's a reason in the story for both characters' resembling each other, but this came with its share of challenges as well. I had to be very purposeful with my eyelines when talking to the imaginary person, as well as making sure that the one sided conversation I was filming that day made sense in conjunction to the script and sequence of events. This entire film was shot using green screen, so the lighting had to be spot on with the character's as well as the background. A little background on the story - The idea of this where there are two "Murphys" actually came to me in a dream I had where a similar event occured. It wasn't nearly as crazy as what I turned it into, but it stuck with me enough to make an entire film about it and create an overarching narrative that I would bring to its sister film "NEXUS".
